We strip tint off every day. Figure $100 to do this trick.
Don't try it yourself -mess destroy your defroster . It would take us an hour or less- -no mess, no fuss.
No biggie.

In two of our cars, yes, they are tinted. They were tinted when we bought them. I don't know how dark they are, but it's never been an issue. We live in Arizona, and it does cut the heat. I personally could care less how it looks. I don't spend money to upgrade my car really in any way- no fancy wheels or exhausts or anything else for that matter, it just seems like a waste of money to me. Until I got my new car, I drove here for 10 years without tint. My husbands current car does not have tint, and he's just fine without it.

Yes you can. There will be a lot of clean up if you do.You can stop by your local auto parts store and pick up a can of cleaner that will clean off the glue after you remove the tint.

use a hair dryer to heat up the glue ... this will remove most of the glue with ease. after you take the tint off use a simple glue remover such as nail polish remover to take off the glue . each window should take 15 mins tops

you can take it off with a razor blade, but if you have a rear defroster it is better to have a professional remove it.
