The rotation will create a cylinder. BC will be the axis, and comprises the height; thus AB constitutes the radius. So the volume will be pi x 15 x 15 x 20.

The solid formed is a cylinder. The radius of the cylinder is 15 (AB) and the height of the cylinder is 20 (BC). The volume of a cylinder is V=pi*r^2*h = pi*15^2*20 = 4500pi.

The result is a cylinder with base = pi*15^2 and height = 20.
So volume = 4500pi = 14,137.2 units ^3

AB then becomes the radius, And BC the depth, thus..
Pi 15(squared) = 706.5(20) = 14130 cubic units.
Picture the rectangle being rotated around Segment BC in a 3D environment, as in if you drew the rectangle on a piece of paper in front of you, then cut it out, held it with one hand on point b, one hand on point c, and flipped it around in the manner of a jump rope. I can draw you a pic and email it to you if nessecary, I hate to see people struggling with spacial interpretation/visualization. My email is roob23@yahoo.com
