Those tests are sensative enough to pick up hcg before a missed period.
If there is a line its a positive it does not matter how faint it is. I would do another test after a missed period.
I have positive home preg tests that had faint lines then a neg blood test. 1 week later no periods and positive hpt with darker lines so i went back to the doctor and had another blood test and it was positive.
Most hpt say in the instuctions 2 lines is a positive even if the line is fainter. Also the more hcg in your urine the darker the line gets as hcg is supposed to double every day
If you cant wait (and i know its hard) see your doctor and ask for a quantative blood test.
Hope that helps.
It sounds like your pregnant.
Good luck

Any line at all means positive. No matter how dark or light. It's faint meaning the HCG pregnancy levels in your urine are low. Test again and if any type of line faint or dark appears...you're pregnant. Congrats!

As long as you read it at the time it said to, I'd say you were pregnant. I had the same issue (took 5 tests - all were faint lines) and it turns out I was, indeed, pregnant! Congrats!

A faint line is still a positive. Congratulations! Next step is to get a blood test from your dr to make sure.

Take a look at this pics of real positives, and then show your husband. The lines aren't always the same shade, though they must be the same colour (ie both pink, not one pink and one gray)

That is of course assuming you followed the instructions and read the test within the time limit.

Im a fan of the clear blue easy test... it will spell it out for you--- "pregnant" or "not pregnant", (lol) do it first thing in the morning when your urine has less of a chance of being dilute.....then you dont have to worry about investigating lines!!! :)
