Euclid, Ohio (near Cleveland)

Euclid, Ohio, a city in Cuyahoga County. It lies on Lake Erie and adjoins the northeastern edge of Cleveland. Euclid's factories produce aircraft and automobile parts and machinery. The American Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes is here. It is a duplicate of the shrine at Lourdes, France, where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to Bernadette in 1858. Euclid was founded in 1798 and chartered in 1930. Government is by mayor and council.

Population: 52,717.

The city of Euclid, OH is 10 miles east of Cleveland. Also, Euclid Ave. is one of the major streets in Northern Cuyahoga County.
