I knew a girl from 1st grade, & I just reunited with her & we sort of became friends, & I just had to cut her loose because she's trying to take advantage of me. She wants me to pay with my student loan refund check for her & her boyfriend to get married & have a wedding shower, but she just got with this dude, & she wants to marry him so she can get out of her mom's house. She's bisexual & has HPV & wants to turn me out. I don't feel comfortable about that. Also, she's trying to compete with my best friend & trying to brainwash me, saying that my best friend is no good for me. But I know the truth. I had to make a choice to cut her loose & keep my best friend because my best friend is a true friend unconditionally. Now I feel bad about cutting this girl loose, but I just HAD to.

I think we all feel a little guilty when we have to do something like this. You may thinking that perhaps you could have helped her a little with her problems. But you shouldn't feel guilty because she did not need or want a little help - she wanted to totally use and abuse you.
Use positive self-speak by telling yourself you did the right thing. Do this everytime you start to feel guilty.

dont feel bad!! She USED you and expected YOU to take care of her basically and PAY for her & her boyfriend!! what a lousy friend...what did she ever do to you that was so great? You should have let her loose a longggggg time ago..
but its better then never. u made a good decision
