An egg only lasts about 24 hours. It takes the sperm a couple hours to reach the egg if there is an egg there. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside the women depending on where she is in her cycle so it's possible that you can ovulate a couple days after intercourse and get pregnant. It takes about 2 weeks before a home pregnancy test will be accurate.

A man's sperm can live for up to three days in a woman's body. The sperm can fertilize an egg at any point during that time. So if you have unprotected sex a few days before ovulation there is a chance of becoming pregnant.

Are you trying to get pregnant? It depends on if your cycle is regular. Even then, it may or may not take. Some people are never able to conceive while others conceive if they even look at the other person it seems. So, no one can tell you when or if you'll get pregnant.
This is unsolicited advice I know, but since you're apparently trying to start a family with your bf, why not get married first?

If you do not know the basics of who, what, where and when of getting pregnant - you should NOT be having sex. Especially unprotected sex. How old are you? BEsides pregnancy, have you ever heard of AIDS, STDS, etc. Questions like these are so troubling........you are too young to be having intercourse...............Read up on the subject, grow up, and start making informed decisions.

Too soon to tell. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and I didn't get pregnant...then a couple months later the condom broke and im 16 weeks now.

First of all your nasty for having sex with your bf before getting married.Second of all are you like 15-20 years of age? If you are then you really nasty because its not good having a baby when you that young!

first of all, are you trying to get pregnant? it also depends on your menstral cycle...you normally ovulate 14 days after your period. so if it is in this time zone you may be pregnant...you wont know your pregnant until you miss a period...thats the al time give away.

Either you already are, or you won't conceive until maybe next time. But a pregnancy test won't be able to detect it for a couple more weeks.
