Hello,
My sister deposited money into my savings account from hers.
When I called up it includes this amount in the balance but it isn't included in available balance.
How long will it take until it is available because I need it in 5 hours to buy a car!

Did she deposit a check or cash?
It really depends on the bank, but I doubt you will get it in 5 hours, buy the car tomorrow.

If they're at the same bank, or if she deposited cash into your account, should be basically immediately. If she deposited a check, it could take a few days. Call your bank - they should be able to make it available, especially if the transfer was within the same bank or the deposit was cash..

It depends on how your sister transferred the money. If it was an account to account transfer it should be available right away, same thing with cash, however if she deposited a check there's going to be a hold.

Depending on when it was deposited, especially if it was on a weekend, it could take up to a week for it to process with the bank. Try giving your bank a call, they can probably give you some idea.

Most banks will tell you at the time of deposit. 24 hours is typical.

Go ahead and buy the car. It will show up in your account tomorrow before the check has a chance to clear

if she deposited cash into your account before 3p today it should be for immediate use
if a transfer or check? not avail for a few days

when did she deposit it? it varies between different banks but my experience says usually between 12-24 hrs ,so you decide when you can expect to receive it

ask the bank cause you dont want to spend what you dont have, it could also need a day to catch up.
