Yes. My mother had the "Santa" talk with me at about the age normally thought to tell kids there's no Santa. But rather than tell me that load of BS, what she told me is that while Santa may no longer be a living person (St. Nicholas), he continues to exsist inside each one of us. Santa is part of the magic of the holiday, a part that can not and should not be taken away. If you take Christ out of the holiday, then you have no real reason for the holiday. Santa isn't required, but he brings a certain magic that's good to keep even well after you grow up. Tell you're 13 year old to keep believing.

That depends. I mean, if you are Christian, you should believe in Jesus Christ because that is his birthday, instead of Santa who brings toys to all good children.
Society has come to say that Christmas is all about Santa and all about the presents he brings.
Society is wrong.
Christmas is Jesus Christ's birthday. I mean, look at the name:
CHRISTmas. Anyway, believeing in Santa depends on your beliefs in general, if you believe in Jesus then it's not good for you to still believe in Santa at 13, but who am I to day any different.

Thinking of when I was 13... No I don't think it is normal for a 13 yr old to believe in Santa. Someone needs to tell them the truth. He/she is going to feel like everyone lied to them once they do find out that santa isn't real so a person shouldn't keep them from knowing that long.. the older they are-the angrier they are when they find out everyone lied to them.

I'm sorry to say, but no it isn't. I remember I found out about Santa/Easter Bunny/Tooth Fairy in the 4th grade- which made me 10 years old. I can't believe that his/her friends at school haven't already told him/her that Santa doesn't exist.
I would tell him/her as soon as possible so that they don't get teased in school.

50 years ago - yes (but probably still unusual)
Today - NO!! - Some 13 year olds these days are having sex, smoking and doing all "adult stuff"... I doubt any 13 year old would believe in Santa.

No, because by then they understand that the mom and/or dad does the shopping the day after thanksgiving. I think that Santa Clause is a very cool fictional character but he is not real (as far as I know).

Uh...well....it's not exactly what I would say normal, but it's not totally abnormal either. By the time the kid becomes about 14 he/she should realize that there's no Santa.

the reality you question your concept would tutor which you're realising it is barely a fantasy. we are in a position to all long for the St. Nick ideology and it is a gorgeous fairy tale yet regrettably, they by no ability ever come genuine. i individually think of you ought to enable it bypass, yet i'm far to cynical for my very own good, do what makes you delicate and if your nonetheless clinging at 30, then right for you.
