It is ending his Job with WWE. RVD's contract expires after One Night Stand. They are doing this stretcher match so that the incredible injuries he sustains are the reason for his leaving WWE. But the reality, is that RVD has no desire to stay in the WWE and he will be appearing soon in a six sided ring, somewhere in Florida.

its not randy's fault
RVD was leaving ECW anyways cause he don't won't to be with the wwe anymore. RVD doesn't have a concussion and his career is on the line his wwe contract is expring and the storyline will be that Randy took out RVD. When in realtiy RVD was quitting anyways
same with HBK cause he had to have knee surgery
