okay, so i used to have a laptop, and it stopped working but the hard drive was perfectly fine. Recently my dad took out the hard drive and is now using it on his laptop because his hard drive crashed. Since he is using my old hard drive right out of my old computer, would everything still be on it? documents and pictures and such?
PLEASE HELP.
no stupid answers either please..

First of all. depends. If he formated your old hard drive then everything is lost. However if your laptop and his are a match. than this means you can swap parts and yes simply removing one hard drive from one laptop and placing into another without any mods, your images, etc would still be there.

All your documents are still there, unless you formatted that hard drive before you gave it to him. The documents may not be accessible by him if you had a password on your account. If you saved your files to the root of C:\ he can see everything. Otherwise your documents are here: c\documents and settings\(your id).

Unless he knows about computers, he probably won't know to look there.

Yes, all of your files, OS, settings, etc. are still there, UNLESS your Dad formatted the drive, ask him about it.......
