Tom Brady is overrated when people call him a top 5 all-time great. He is not overrated when he is called one of the best and most reliable quarterbacks in the NFL today.
He is called an all time great because, for some reason I can't figure out, there is a silly belief that quarterbacks should be rated based upon championships won.
Any idiot can see that a championship is not an individual accomplishment. It is a team one. That people can't figure this out astounds me.
As for Brady, he is an excellent quarterback who came out of nowhere to be a star. He is clearly in the top 5 and while his statistics are very good but not great he rarely makes a critical mistake.
So, drop the championships from the equation as completely irrelevant and you still have an excellent quarterback well deserving of a permanent reservation in Hawaii in February. If he continues to develop his skills (in my opinion 2005 was his best year yet) he will probably get a home in Canton as well.

personally i think he is overrated more than any player in the NFL. he is a good player and has smarts but isn't anything special. people think hes so great because he was on the winning end of 3 Superbowl's. but that's all it was. he was on the winning team. vinatieri was the player who won the champion chip games and 2 Superbowl's. and not to mention they had one of the best if not the best defense's in those seasons. the defense won those games just like the ravens Superbowl or the bucs. they both had average quarterbacks in trent dilfer and brad johnson but they won. why weren't people say they were so great and the best in the game? because they knew the defense won those games. with the pats they had to put a face to the franchise and it would never be a kicker or a whole defense, so where do you get the face? at the qb position. he has never had a stellar season or had a game that makes people jump out of there seats. hes nothing more than an average qb. hes just hiding behind an amazing coach, a great defense and solid players around him. if you were to place him on a team like the lions, raiders, browns, you would hear about him for a year and that would be it. he doesn't make the players around him better, they just make him look good.

Tom Brady is an excellent Quarterback. I always judge how good a QB is by how many teams would trade their own starter for him. Most teams in the league would take Tom Brady.

that he's a stable to massive quarterback. however the Brady/Manning argument is what's carefully overvalued. simply by fact, realistically, you may desire to no longer analyze the two until the 2006 & 2007 seasons, the place the Patriots began to pass as oftentimes simply by fact the Colts (2006) and each had large receivers (2007), which somewhat shows that he has each and every little bit of the passing skills that Manning has. the clarification he does not have the profession numbers that Manning does, is using the fact Manning has been in a passing offense on account that day a million, whilst Brady replaced into aside of a extra run oriented/stability attack.

Tom Brady is NOT overrated. He has 3 Super Bowl rings. Only Aikman, Bradshaw, and Montana - all Hall of Famers - have as many.

Tom Brady may not get the superlatives, but that's not his game. He is a winner. That's how sixth-round draft choices become MVP.
Tom Brady and Elizabeth Taylor are going to corner the jewelry market - count the rings.

Hes a great QB and no he isn't overrated. He plays his system good, has great pocket presence, good accuracy, pretty fast, very tough, and a very good leader. He has been working with almost no recievers and gotten the job done.

fumbled against the Raiders in 2002, but was overturned because, supposedly it was an incomplete pass(BS). Reached 1st SB after that, and the rest is history.
