I am reading the Modern Library translation by Constance Garnett. In it, Tolstoy says that Austerlitz took place on November 20th. But everything else says that it took place on Dec. 2nd, leading to my suspicion that the novel uses Julian Calendar dates.

Yes , Tolstoy probably did use Julian calendar dates because the Russian Orthodox Church was prominent at the time of War and Peace and they still use the Julian calendar to celebrate their feasts (forr instant Christmas is on January 7th)
