They never sit. They even sleep standing up.

I've never seen a cow sit. They lie down when it's going to rain.

we have a sheep farm.. we used to have a cattle farm before.. and cows don't sit.. they either stand up or lie down... they even jump sometimes. i guess in cartoons they do sit.. =)
