Is it okay to not wear make up?

Question

I've never worn make up......in high school I only wear lipstick to dances.....I never had a problem getting men either.....is that okay?

Because my relatives don't think so.

When I was in high school, my mom was always pushing me to wear makeup. I didn't like makeup or the trouble it was every morning. I can't say I had hundreds of guys after me, but I didn't have a problem with guys. I'm now 26 years old and married and I only wear makeup when I am going out on a special occasion. My husband prefers it that way, he actually likes that I don't wear a lot of make up :o)

My relatives on the other hand, think I need to wear make up... they're insane.. it's my face, it's my skin.. if they don't like it tough noogies... same goes to your relatives... right? :o)

It is absolutely OK! I never wear makeup and also have never had a problem with getting men. I think the question you should ask yourself is if youre happy without wearing makeup...if you are, then dont listen to the negativity everyone else is feeding you. DO YOU!

My mother use to get mad at me for not wearing lipstick or carrying a purse. To me red lipstick would stick out on my white complextion and my blond hair. I do not like to carry things either.

To me, it is ok not to wear makeup if you do not want to. I went out on a date with no makeup a couple of years ago. He tells me now that it intrigued him as to why I didn't dress up or wear makeup for him. My old roommate wanted me to wear it and I didn't. I said if he doesn't like me how I am, then that is ok. He will see me this way anyway. It was more of a meeting than a date. I said I would meet him only as friends and it was at a dinner with 6 other people and a couple of kids at one couples house.

Today, we are dating. We were friends for almost 2 years before we started to date 6 months ago. He sees me quite often without makeup. I do try to put some on when I go to church with him or somewhere else that I should look more dressed up. He doesn't care if I wear makeup or not. I think he cares more about my clothes. He doesn't say he doesn't like my clothes. He did tell me I needed to buy some church clothes. :) I am not a fashionable person at all.

To make this long story end, it is ok to not wear makeup if you don't want to. It will not stop you from getting a date if that is what they are worried about. A lot of men prefer their women not to wear all that Junk, as they call it. Real men don't care to much. They just want us to take care of ourselves. They prefer the attitudes of women more than the makeup stuff.

If you wear makeup, it should look like you are not really wearing any at all. Everyone will have their own opinion. I work with elderly women who MUST have their hair perfect and their makeup on before they ever leave the house, no matter what they do. That is their preference and it works for them. It makes them feel good about themselves. I don't need makeup to feel good about myself.

I am almost 31 and have never wanted to put much makeup on either. When I was little and took dancing for the recital we had to put on lots of makeup. I swore my eyes didn't itch till I got eye shadow on them, to this day I don't like eye shadow. The makeup I currently put on, when the mood strikes me, is Bare Essentials. It is as good as they say on tv. So yes I think it is just fine, my mom is not crazy about it but hasen't said much lately. Besides in this case it is your face, but if you say this be nice about it.

If you're comfortable that way, then it's perfectly fine. When I was in high school, I wore make-up every day. Now, I might wear it once or twice a week.

ya, most people wear make-up to make their faces look different. When I wear make-up, i wear a very light shade of eyeshadow and some mascara. And if i wear lipGLOSS not lipstick, thats old school, I wear a very ligth color, barely noticable. You should try it, start out with light shades ang then go darker.

I love wearing make up, I wish my skin were flawless to go without. I have a scar from a car accident I hate to show. If you can go without that's your thing, don't let your relatives tell you otherwise.

Yes, some people have natural beauty and they look much better without it or maybe just a touch of it. Especially if you are that young I'm sure you look beautiful the way you are.

i think that its totally ok to wear make-up, just as long as you dont over do it!
if you do over do it, as you age your face will become wrinkly much faster.
mascara is the worst because if you use too much of it, in a while your hair follicle will not grow any more hair onto your eyelashes.
**remember: dont use the same mascara bottle for more than 6 months..after six months the mascara is not good anymore.

omg yes its totally ok. make up is meant to uplift and enhance ur features , its not abolutly necessary on all women. plus lots of guys say they prefer a more natural looking girl.. i wouldnt worry a bit abut wearing too little make up- thats just ur style and you've been blessed, make good use of it.
