I was born on the cusp right between Gen-X and the Baby Boomers; I don't resent them.
They grew up in a rather Utopian time, yet were supressed by the cold war until Viet Nam and the Equal Rights movement hit in the late 60s, when I was in diapers. Somehow their Hippie disdain became twisted to where they became Yuppies by the early 80s. I am hoping that more of them will find a way back to their idealistic selves and that they will use their power of numbers at the polls and cash registers to pressure the powers that be into doing the right things for their children and ours.
Now that I've read the answer above mine from Harridan5 asking what is a Gen-Xer, I have to wonder if they are all so self-absorbed to not know who will be running the country when they are in their "Golden Years"?

Yeah. They raised us in the same 'Kid's Club' culture they grew up, so we were kinda lazy, unmotivated, and clueless in our 20's. They went through that OK cause they had WWII vets who grew up in the Great Depression for parents who pushed them. Now I'm in my 30's and make much less than my college educated dad did when he was my age. Retarded social security problems means we won't be able to retire like most of them will be able to. We'll have to fend for ourselves or learn how to save money or something. Our nation will be swimming in old people soon, which might have some interesting effects on our culture, like the way our own children view things. Now's a good time to get medical training or get that bachelors degree cause they're all about to retire and leave some choice jobs open. This is probably a timeless point of contention. The changes we have seen in their lifetime is more dramatic than other periods, but other times have seen this kind of generational bickering too, I'm sure. Were their snotty Roman kids who didn't appreciate the sacrafices made to conquer Gaul? I'm sure there was. In less than one hundred years, our nation has changed from a struggling farm country to the world power and a major industrial and technological power-house. Can we maintain?

I never held a grudge against the boomers. Why should I?
I have held a few grudges against individual people but against an age group? That would just be dumb.

you're no longer on my own. i think of it truly is simply by fact we Gen-Xer's many times fall decrease on the tax bracket then what the present tax breaks have long previous to. The extremely-prosperous and massive agencies. like the Oil agencies what replaced into it 6 billion greenback subsitey? Inflation bites to boot. high quality new child care eats the funds yet you may no longer skimp on that. it truly is harder yet start up a chit expenses plan and simplify existence in straight forward terms a coarse highway appropriate now and don't save on with a occasion line whilst vote casting. it truly is been tough decrease than the present adminstration for our era various the upward thrust expenses we are procuring have been authorized decrease than them..urghh. If it replaced into specially toddler boomers that voted in the president, congress, and the domicile of reps then definite it truly is their fault yet i think of it truly is extra the apathy and ditto heads of our era and gen Y that permit it ensue. Simplify existence, slicing extra advantageous expenses and making plans properly will paintings to boot as advised vote casting
