After Kobe, I gotta go with K.G. I think he is the best big man in the game. I know most would say Tim Duncan is, and he has the rings, but he also has the better team. K.G. is athletic, a relatively good shooter, a great rebounder, a good passer for a big man, and has a genuine passion for the game. Can you imagine if K.G. got serious with being traded and landed with Kobe? That would be one of the best combos in NBA history. Then, once he got a couple rings, there would be more reason for him to be considered the best PF of all time.

Assuming Kobe is the best, which I think he is, then I would say the next best player is LeBron James. After that its Steve Nash, then D Wade, then Gilbert Arenas.

You could argue in LeBrons case for being the best because he makes an otherwise mediocre team a team that is contending for a Finals apperance. He makes everyone around him better, is one of the most exciting players to watch, and is not even close to realizing his full potential.

Kobe is the best. Period. Can Lebron take over games like Kobe? Can "King James" score 50+ in 4 straight games? How about 2? Exactly.

To answer your question, I would say that Nash is the next best player. He gets his teammates involved and makes great plays for Phoenix.

Nash is the best team PLAYER right now. Kobe is the best individual talent and LeBron is a very close 2nd.

The best players don't ask for trades and retract them. They don't run off blue chip players like Shaq. And they pass the ball once in awhile.

Maybe there's a list of players under Kobe Bryant, but there's a big stack on top of him too.
