Well, you shouldn't take it out yet, but after you leave it in for the set amount of time, it shouldn't hurt. But, if it's red and puffy after it's been in for that time, it might hurt some and it's probably infected. That happened to me, and all you have to do is get some anticeptic (a really good kind is Claires) and wear plastic earrings (Bloomdahl) for a while. The earrings cost about $25, not sure about the anticeptic. Good luck with your ears =)

I have experience, I have two piercings on each ear! You are not supposed to take it out until 6 weeks are up, and after that it dosen't hurt and it wont grow over!

DO NOT take it out until SIX weeks!
It needs to heal completely, or it will not only hurt to take out, it will hurt even more to put back in!

i had just gotten my ears pierced a few weeks ago. i was scared too that it would hurt but it didn't. just take your eraings out slowly everything will be alright.

Sometimes, and it bleeds too. Especially if you take it out early. Take it out very slowly and you should be okay, but when you put it back in itll hurt like hell.
