As a Republican I think it is funny as hell that all the anti-war idiots out there thought that if they voted in a Democrat majority congress that they would cut and run. Talk about your all time backfires. The Dems actually caved and just $hit on all those who put them there to end the war.

The Democrats are upset because Bush borrowed about
3 trillion dollars from China to fund his war. This will be
the responsibility of our future generations to pay it back.
I find that disturbing.
Bush has now stopped memorials for our service men
who gave their lives, simply because "there are too many".
He'll now have a memorial service once a month for them.
Even more disturbing.

Considering that most people never thought of Iraq as
a threat, the cost of debt & lives has gone way too far.

Are you upset that Bush started a war because of WMDs that were not even there and refuses to admit his mistakes, thus killing over 3,000 brave Americans? Funny how some people "support" the troops by wanting to keep them over there to get killed. If you think it's such a great idea, why don't you go over there and fight?
And for your information, it is no longer a Democrat vs. Republican question. The majority of Americans, Democrat and Republican alike, want us out of Iraq.
Oops- I think your ignorance is showing.

They didn't do the right thing. They should have put timetables in the package.

I guess your smiling face hasn't seen the numbers that are being killed!

I believe you only support corporate welfare because I don't think you can give me 1 valid reason for us being in Iraq. There certainly were none to attack it!

I would hope that someday you could ride in an unarmored Humvee and find out first hand what it is like to hit an IED. Perhaps you would change your mind lying in a military VA hospital that Bush cut by $100 Billion.

That wasn't funding the war, that was a blank check to corporate America, our largest welfare recepients!

It's right to fund the soldiers but it is absolutely not right to give the president carte blanche to continue driving this country off a cliff with his incompetence and ill-advised misadventures.

The misadventures I speak of are Iraq and our saber rattling with Iran. It's too late with Iraq, we just have to suck it up and pray for the best now. With Iran, the best thing to do is impose sanctions and try to empower the young people so that they'll eventually overthrow the clerics.

But because of Bush's track record we cannot afford to trust the judgement of him or anyone else in his administration. They have proven themselves to be incompetent, arrogant, foolish ideologues who refuse to listen to reason or comprehend reality, and as such, we cannot allow his fiascos to grow in scope or cost. We must find ways of extricating overselves from Iraq in 18-24 months and focus on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Sudan.
