What is the point setting for a gmc 4.3 liter 1986 engine?

Mostly we just ball-parked it in to about a sixteenth of an inch, and set the timing with a timing light.

If it had points, it would be .019, or 32 degrees on a dwell meter. But all went to electronic ignition around 1974......

You don't have breaker points on that engine, its electronic ignition.
