Having someone live with you will not jeopardize the child support. That money is due to your children, not you or someone that lives with you. He can't do anything to reduce that money unless he lost his job & he went & told the child support agency...Keep an eye out on what he makes though. You can hit him up for more if he starts making more...Good luck & God bless you & your children.

Depending on where you live, there are laws for couples who live together for more than 7 years without getting officially married. This can only serve you if you are not satisfied with him moving out and the distribution of material things you gained together during your relationship. But most importantly, it is what you want to do and how you will move on above all that happened in the past that matters. I assume with your question about living with someone else that you have something in the happening....best of luck on the new journey and remember the other guy will always be the father of your kids, so try to keep a good relationship even though you are completely over.

since you all never married in the legal sense he's not paying alimony, that would change if he was an ex-husband but he's paying child support that doesn't change, and you can always petition for more on behalf of the kids for cost the of living. Food, clothes and everything for the kids (and the rest of the world) will be going up because of skyrocketing fuel prices and the fact that these things are shipped to stores via fuel powered vehicles, the rise in fuel for the truck, planes etc will cause a rise in shipping charges, the rise in shipping will be passed on in higher prices for goods .

Probably not but I am not a lawyer. His responsiblity to his kids is not diminished if you live with someone else or even marry them.
My question is why you want to live with a man when you have kids or period if you are not married. It is not appropriate in my opinion. Your first responsiblity is to your kids and if a man wants to be in your life to the level where you live together, then get married. Its a very bad example for your kids.

I don't think he'd be able to have his support payments reduced even if you married someone, especially if the payments are court ordered. His payments are for child support, not alimony.

If you're receiving child support FROM him, FOR his children, you're living with someone does not affect your child support. But perhaps he can raise a stink with child services. Use your head. What kind of example would you be setting for your children?
