Hiya,
Im planning on going to Liverpool for the weekend in August with some mates, looking to stay fri-sun. Im looking for a good hotel but as cheap as possible, as we are all skint basically lol. Also as near to the nightlife!

Also where are the best clubs to go to in Liverpool, we obviously dont want to spend our weekend linein up outside either?!

And what is there to do during the day, any shopping centres near the hotel would be great aswell.

Your answers would be much appreciated as i have looked every where!!

Btw we are 18-20

Thanks!

The Formule 1 is opposite the Albert Dock and you can get rooms for £31 per night. A cheaper option is the Youth Hostel Association (its only a couple of years old) which is just a little further up the road but still in Liverpool City Centre

If you are coming in August the best weekend will be August bank holiday weekend, when Liverpool has Europe's biggest, free live music festival with almost every bar having a live bands on and a stage in the city centre. On bank holiday Monday there are 7 stages erected all within walking distance, with some well known bands playing as well as Beatle tribute bands from all over the world. it started off as Beatle Fan weekend, and you get loads of tourists coming for the events, but it has widened now so you are sure to find the type of music you like.

Mathew St or Concert Square are the best places to go for a night out, and most bars are like clubs anyhow. You will be spoilt for choice.

There is lots of shopping in the city centre, but at the moment there is so much work going on for Capital of Culture in 2008, that cranes are building sites dominate the city centre.

What else to do? depends what you want, Liverpool has more galleries and museums than any city outside London, don't worry you will not be bored.
