First, lets deal with the Jewish people. Anything you could want to know about their victimization can be found on the link below....
http://www.remember.org/

Now, the German people.
Germany was recovering from a defeat under Kaiser Wilhelm. They had lost their national pride, as well as many other things. Hitler, a charismatic speaker, was able to tap into the collective desires of the people, and decieve them.
As most Germans were Christians, the NAZIs had to peruse this goal with some circumspection rather than the overt atheism of the Communist Young Pioneers. Concerning religion the NAZIS through the Hitler Youth pursued activities with a two-fold purpose. The first was to help break the children's ties to what ever affiliation with organized religious groups they received from their parents as well as any religious training they had received.
From their earliest years, girls were taught in their schools that all good German women married at a young age to a proper German and that the wife’s task was to keep a decent home for her working husband and to have children. One of the earliest laws passed by Hitler once he came to power in 1933, was the Law for the Encouragement of Marriage. The aim of the law was very simple - to encourage newly weds to have as many children as they could. There was also a more long term and sinister aspect to this : as Germany grew she would need more soldiers and mothers; hence a booming population was needed with young boys being groomed into being soldiers and young girls being groomed into being young mothers.
Propaganda within Nazi Germany was taken to a new and frequently perverse level. Hitler was very aware of the value of good propaganda and he appointed Joseph Goebbels as head of propaganda. As Minister of Enlightenment, Goebbels had two main tasks:
1. to ensure nobody in Germany could read or see anything that was hostile or damaging to the Nazi Party.
2. to ensure that the views of the Nazis were put across in the most persuasive manner possible.
To ensure success, Goebbels had to work with the SS and Gestapo and Albert Speer. The former hunted out those who might produce articles defamatory to the Nazis and Hitler while Speer helped Goebbels with public displays of propaganda. To ensure that everybody thought in the correct manner, Goebbels set up the Reich Chamber of Commerce in 1933. This organisation dealt with literature, art, music, radio, film, newspapers etc. To produce anything that was in these groups, you had to be a member of the Reich Chamber. The Nazi Party decided if you had the right credentials to be a member. Any person who was not admitted was not allowed to have any work published or performed. Disobedience brought with it severe punishments.
The people in Nazi Germany fell victim to their own government. Women were relegated to inferior status, being no more than baby machines. Men either complied or died.
Though you can't possibly compare the persecution of the Jewish peoples with the victimization of the German people, as they were two totally seperate things, you can see that German people were victimized. Every aspect of their lives was rigidly controlled, through fear!

It is extremely disingenuous to sat Germans hate Jews when in fact it was the policy of the Nazi regime. In any case other countries also did not want the Germans including United Kingdom, United States, Canada etc. The reality is that the Jewish community is a very learned community and in many societies including today Jews occupy many senior positions. This can be seen by any nationalist as aliens being too strong and cutting in on their turf. As an example there are in excess of 1 billion Muslims who have received less than 10 Noble prizes. There are approximately 20,000,000 Jews and have received 156 Noble prizes. These facts cannot be denied. It cannot be denied that they are among the best doctors and lawyers in the world. They are shrewd politicians. They have done a wonderful job in building Israel. Perhaps there is an element of jealously - by the way I am not a Jew but a Roman Catholic.

I think I will address the propaganda part. From the early onset in the 1930's propaganda played a major part in National Socilaism. Once Hitler took full control over German politics and policies and Dr. Goebbels became the party's official propaganda minister the onslaught intensified. The "party line" of nationalism, ethnic superority and propagation of the German people as a ruling Arayan race as well as constant dehumanizing of Jews, Gypsies and the eastern slavic races became a norm in everyday life. Cigarette makers produced books that could be filled with the nazi propaganda cards which came in cigarette packs and in cartons thus allowing even lower class households to build a nazi doctrine library. The party produced cheap radios so that all German's could listen to their furher. Home clocks, clothing, cars, architecture produced by Albert Speers, etc. were all orientated towards the party. Mandatory service to the country was implemented. The RAD was formed for young adults. This group did construcion projects throughout the nation. Children had to belong to the Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth) a combination of boyscouts/girlscouts with heavy emphasis on National Socialism and military training and discipline. Their were incrediable rallies at Nurmberg that were filmed and hailed as a cinematic masterpiece. Rallies were held in every major city throughout the nation, several times a year on truely grand scales with all the pomp and circumstance imaginable. Every paper, magizine, book, pamplet, etc. was censored by the nazis as well as their own vast array of propaganda from the SS newletters to the regular hometown papers. Even speaking out against the regieme could prove to be a trip to a concentraion camp for political reasons. All areas of society soon came under direct goverment control and were accordingly issued uniforms for their organizations, which happened to always sport the party symbols of swastikas and or runic symbols. Music was also an important tool. Jewish musicians, artists and basically anything cultural which wasn't German was banned. As a side note there were underground parties with American swing music. For the main part epic operas with Aryan themes were a mainstay, such as Wagner's Nordic themes. Add to this that for the first time in a decade unemployment became almost non-existant after 9 out of 10 people had been without work and that the economy was strong with luxiries abundant..............it was overpowering.......sadly. The monuments were huge, such as the Nurmberg rally grounds, the new Reichstag, the autoban,as well as a mulitude of others which became a source of national pride. The olympics were also held in Germany before the onset of WW2 and were used to spotlight Germany's achievements. Every rally, from a small town to the large cities produced pins and pamplets, postcards, etc. which were cheap souveniers for the common people. I could go on and on but it is a great point to continue your studies with. Hope this helps some.

All governments, to a greater or lesser extent, use propaganda. The agenda is to keep the populous controlled and pacified--much easier to govern (dominate) them that way.

60 million plus were killed in WWll. Many Jews, many Germans, many everyones. All were victims of the obvious events--the Nazis and their aggression, etc.

But, is there a story behind the obvious? You could take a look at this and then do further "intuited" research http://www.blessedquietness.com/journal/housechu/album.htm Many things are not what they appear to be. eh? :)))

Jews were victims because the German gov't attempted to exterminate them.
Germans were sometimes victims, but they ignored the trains full of starving people, the ashes falling on their cities which were the dead bodies of Jewish people, the beatings of Jewish people, the vandalism of Jewish property. Germans want to pretend to be victims, but they ignored what was going on all around them.
Who do you think drew up the plans for the concentration camps? Who were the carpenters, plumbers and electricians for the concentration camps? Who contracted work from these camps? Who lived next to these camps? Who lived in the houses and took over the business of the Jewish people who disappeared? It is absolutely ridiculous that the German people did not know what was going on. They were not victims, they were willing participants in genocide.

The Jews were victims because Hitler's plan was to extrminate them. The Germans were victims because the had had to pay an incresingly bloody bill for participating in "his" war, and they were victims of of propagaanda because it prevented them to see what truly happened to them and to other peoples of th world

Both the German people and the Jewish people were victims of Hitler's wrath due to mostly being unfit to be citizens. For example - The German people who were either sexually oriented towards something else were killed - Children who were born retarded or not blonde, blue-eyed and not normal were also killed. It's not just the jewish people who were terrorized. There were many different people who were messed with during this time as long as you were not aryan you were in trouble. Now... the jewish were accused of the down fall of the german simply because they were like the mexicans in the U.S - They took the jobs the germans didnt want for less money... just because of that they believed them to be a plague. Now... the jewish were really just used as scapegoats. So... yea... they were both victims even if we don't believe it.

Any German who was caught helping the Jews suffered their same fate. Also any German who did not agree with the views of the government were put to death along with their families.

Appels and oranges. You can't compare people who are victims because of who they are or what they think, and people who are victims because their leaders are waging a war and slaughtering millions of their fellow citizens because they were "different". And I do consider indiscriminate bombing of population centers a war crime, by all sides, Abyssinnia, Guernica, Dresden, Coventry, Leningrad and Hirosjima/Nagasaki.
