has it been your experience that shorter people are better at hip hop type dances?

I'm tall and I look super silly when I try to dance, but my shorter friends can pull it off way better...

It's been my observation that taller people get shy about being tall and inhibited in their movement. It becomes their self fulfilling cycle until they decide to get out of it. Short people have to compensate early on for being smaller thus less noticeable, so they tend to move more actively, which in turn teaches them to be better at it. But once taller people allow themselves to move and learn how to move - they are not any worse than short people, may be even better.

it;s not that shorter people are better at hip hop type dances just that for some reason it doesn't look as awkward. not really sure why though lol. I would suggest maybe trying to imitate some of your firends dances moves and then you can improve your dancing. always remember to add your own style into it!!! : )

Yes, I do think short people are a little more coordinated (But I am very sure that you can dance well though). I am very short for my age and my twin sister says that I'm really good at dancing (I don't take dance though). Good luck with your dancing! Break a leg! (Not literally)
