I'd rather not call anyone to have them out, they will just haunt me. So, my home was built in the 1930's. It is 2,008 sq. ft. and has an old heating system (wish I knew what it was called), but my vents are very random (just small squares out of the walls, not floor) and some rooms don't even have heat vents. So what would I be looking at? Thanks for any help, just wanted an idea. :)

The problem with this is that most ductwork in older homes ONLY accomodates for heat. When you install central a/c you have to have a certain amount of "static pressure" in the duct work and most "heat only" systems do not allow for an a/c to be "dropped" in.There are usually changes to the duct that NEED to be made to ensure proper efficiency. With all that, there are other variables as well I.E what brand equipment, what features,etc...You could be anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000$$$$$
