transfer printing?

does anyone know how to transfer print on to CLAY ? and i know you use paper ,but wouldn't it burn off in the kiln ? And also does anyone know how to use silt or silt (i don't know. kinda like plaster)

slip as in, pour slip into a mould so it hardens?

You take off the paper and the ink stays on the clay.
