I have a young axolotl and I know that they are advised to not live with other fish. I have an albino african clawed frog and I was wondering if they would be ok together. They are about the same size. They are both bottom dwelling slug-ish creatures, that I feel that they would be ok together.

The problem with this set-up is temperature and water movement. African clawed frogs are tropical and need tropical temperatures (around 70-75o). Axolotls are from a deep lake environment and shouldn't be in temperatures above 65o. They can tolerate warmer, but you'll shorthen their lifespan from around 12-15 yrs. to about 2-3 yrs.
