Loreal kids Swimming Shampoo (Target), Gets the chlorine out. For dry, coarse, unmanageable swimmer's hair, Ultra Swim Shampoo breaks the chemical bonds between chlorine and hair that normal shampoos can't do. Amazingly effective, yet gentle enough to use every day. Ultra Swim Conditioner revives chlorine-damaged hair. Ultra Swim Soap removes chlorine from skin. Made in USA. 7 oz.
Then, deep condition your hair two times a week for at least 5 minutes.

Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is good for getting rid of the chlorine smell but it must be followed up w/ a rich conditioner.

Joico K-Pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for dry, damaged hair. The conditioner can be used daily & as a deep conditioning mask.

Nexxus Aloe Rid is good for removing chlorine but I find it dries my hair out quite a bit so I don't recommend it.

Prevention is best. Soak your hair w/ tap water, coat it w/ conditioner & wear a nylon swimming cap. Rinse off the conditioner immediately after getting out of the pool.

Don't believe advertisements on shampoos. The main differences are image and price.

Use a bathing cap to protect your hair, and wash it with clean water afterwards. Don't use shampoos too often, and brush your hair carefully.

Chlorine content in water is very much less now than some decades ago, and there were swimmers with beautiful hair then.

Go to a beauty supply store. They have shampoos specifically made for swimmers, and they aren't that expensive if you buy the right brands.

i would suggest putting conditioner in your hair before swimming, a lot of it , it will prevent you hair from being tangled and keep your hair super soft.

You might want to put something it your hair before you go swimming to prevent dryness. I think Redken might have something for it.
