that will not happen and if it happens I think it would be a very stupid move, Nowitzki is a great player that plays great as a team, in the other hand Kobe is the best individual player, he just would move all the team, all the plans, all the tactics, the mavs are a very good team and dirk is the leader they just need to play each playoff as a final or better said as a season match.

This trade will never happen unless the Mavs were willing to part w/ more than just Dirk. Kobe is worth sooooo much more than Dirk is and would immediately improve that already stacked team. I dislike Kobe as much as the next guy but the truth is the truth. Dirk is not your typical big man and is no where near the talent of Kobe Bryant. Yeah he's selfish and all that good stuff but the fact is the guy knows how to win. You put him on a decent team and he could make them into contenders immediately. Put him on a already stacked team and you would have a championship. With that being said, I hope this trade never happens. I hope he ends up with the Hawks or something.

NOOOOO!!! Don't fix what ain't broken. Kobe will bring his ego and drama with him and be a cancer in the locker room. Dirk is focused and a team leader, the Mavs don't need someone who will put himself before the team. Kobe is a better player by himself, but he is not a team guy at all.

Having said that, the teams that shouldn't go after Kobe is much smaller than those who should. The Suns, Mavs, Spurs, Heat, Cavs, Blazers (because the got the #1), Pistons, Bulls, and Timberwolves (at least for now) are teams I would put on the "pass on him" list. The Jazz would win it all next year if they got him, while the Bucks, Sonics, Celtics, Hawks and Knicks should be offering their first born child for him. I think the Clippers would have the best chance if they went after him, since they nearly got him when he was a free agent. He wants to stay in LA and I think it would work out well for everyone involved.

I think the mavs are a very good team still. Its just that the one team they had to play was golden state. Golden states coach made dirk a great player and was the mentor of avery johnson. Therefore he knew how to exploit their weaknesses. Mavs= no need to trade

If the Lakers were smart, they shouldnt trade kobe. Instead they need to get rid of andrew bynum for some veteran player. Andrew bynum MIGHT become really good, but it hasnt happened yet. I remember the nets offered jason kidd for bynum. Lakers turned it down and now Kobe is stuck with a crappy *** team

the mavs will make a run at kobe but rest assured that just like the lakers wouldnt trade shaq to a western conference powerhouse they wouldnt trade kobe there either. plus its not a good deal for the lakers to bring in a superstar without the killer instinct to a bad team. dirk wouldnt make them contenders, he barely makes his own team a contender. meanwhile kobe would destroy the chemistry in dallas (or on any other team). it will never happen but i'm sure marc cuban's people made the call to ask yesterday.

he will stay by using fact Dirk is the Mavericks construction block like duncan is for the spurs. without the chemistry the gamers have with dirk they are basically yet another sqaud with skills like vast apple who can not pull all of it together. The mavericks want to tug it toghether this years and that they gained't commerce their construction block for Kobe who will shrink to rubble their equipment via demanding passes of their unselfish equipment. additionally they're going to ought to alter their finished offense for kg besides so no dirks staying.

great idea, trade away the "declared" mvp for a ballhog!

lets just trade the whole mavericks roster because kobe can play a basketball game all by himself

No. Dallas needs a low post scorer. Kobe needs a low post scorer. It just won't address the need.
