Does anyone know if moving to the U.K would be a good idea.?

Please give me a few reasons why or why not I should move there.

I've heard it's very peaceful over there. Theres really no guns so killing people is a bit harder. Some places you wouldnt want to go though like Nothern Ireland but I would think England would be fine. I love the idea that it rains there a lot and if you have a decent job you can support yourself.

Culture shock would be my main reason not to go. Totally different food, ways of speech, money and measurement systems, etc. I'm sure my head would explode.

American-I think there is not a state determined religion. The economy would be of concern. I have a friend who's uncle worked as an automechanic at some car place and he finally decided he would make as much sitting on his but t at home than working. In Ireland, I think law was established that if your main source of income is from an artistic endeavor (writing, painting, music, etc) then you don't have to pay taxes. I think she told me that there is a middle class but it's still on a lower paying scale than we're used to. The economy is closer to two classes (rich or poor) than not. And, my cousin said that all the drinks are served w/o ice b/c the weather is so much cooler, they never started the habit.

if i were you i would not move to UK
i m frm US though,
reasons
1. Cost of living is very high over there
2. Salaries arent good enough to support a family
3. Lots of communal violence in bigger cities ( people dont care about the law over there)
so in my opinion stay where u are or try doing a research before moving to UK ( if u really want to) i wouldnt move to UK at all

Depends on where you coming from. It may be a bad move, or it may be a good move. It all depends upon your likes and dislikes. Pick your poison. In other words, every place has it's bad parts and good parts. Live where you feel you can handle all the bad points.
