Babe Ruth pitcher and hitter

2007-05-31 12:21:14 · answer #1 · answered by jrp 3 · 0 0

Simple. One man. Babe Ruth. He was the most dominant left handed pitcher (or one of the top two or three) for five years. And we all know what he did after that. Babe Ruth would have made the Hall of Fame if he just pitched and never hit a home run. He is without question the greatest baseball player of all time. He was able to do what any two great players...hitter/pitcher...will never be able to do again.

Juan Marichal. Totally dominant as a pitcher AND, if there's any question about his ability to use a bat effectively, then just ask Johnnie Roseboro of the Dodgers!!

I'd be sufficiently surprised to understand the question.

Teammates?

One, multiskilled player?

One pitcher and one opposing batter?

If you're talking about pitchers that can hit, Don Drysdale was one of the better ones.
