Nah; I can speak a good bit more than that. I was raised in Texas, so I grew up around lots of Spanish-speaking folks. I can at least manage enough to find a hotel, get water and food, find a bathroom, and the other necessities, as well as carry on a simple conversation and express basic politeness such as please and thank you.

Nope actually more often than that
You do know that gordita, mexi melt and enchritos arent real names for spanish foods right? Mexicans dont eat double layer tacos and cheesy 7 layer nachos with silly names.

Lol, nope. The only Spanish I use is when my daughter is watching Dora the Explorer. I used to be pretty decent at Spanish, but not so much anymore.

Absolutely not !
One of the first phrases you learn in Spanish is : Donde es la biblioteca? ( Where is the library? ) , so I often go to malls and ask people " Donde es la biblioteca?"
I have to admit I have an odd sense of humor, but I refuse to let my High School education go to a complete waste!
By the way, it was never mentioned why Hispanic people are so interested in the library ! LOL
