Tracy is correct, but I would like to add two more things. When you connect your computers using AD-HOC mode your nrtworking speed will be maxed at 11Mb/s no matter the speed of your adapters and the range between the two computers will dramatically be reduced to within 20 feet, even less if there are walls between the two computers.

You would make everything easier on you if you just purchased a wirelless router for 30.00 on ebay or at a online store like http://www.tigerdirect.com

Actually you can use AD-HOC to connect the two computers and enable ICS on the machine that is connected with Ethernet to the Internet. Microsoft has an article on exactly what has to be done with XP (Vista should be similar but probably a lot harder) If the two computers are connected using wifi Ad-Hoc then ics works fine.

Its valued at a shot. You enter the inn community key within the Network Settings (underneath System Settings) on the homescreen menu if I'm now not wrong...You'll ought to attempt to attach from there. I have not heard of someone honestly doing this...Not that its now not feasible however I are not able to warranty you that the inn web pace could have well adequate great to get a sport going if you're ready to do it in any respect... Worst involves worst...You nonetheless have the crusade, forge and the entire different choices minus matchmaking/Live. I could additionally keep in mind the T.V. on the inn to be as typical as feasible...That would gift a trouble in your Xbox hookup. Unless its a ritzy or nicer inn...I real would not get my hopes up.

I might be mistaken, and please, anyone, feel free to correct me, but Im fairly certain this can't be done without a router.
If a router is too expensive, theres a store called Frys Electronics, don't know if you have one in your area, but they have some great prices during sales. I picked up a router for $15(and no its not a piece of crap, it really works quite well)!

True, I'm pretty sure this can't be done without a wireless router, or else they would be pretty useless.
