Other real estate databases are not illegal. However, as members of NAR, nearly all MLS's have chosen to make their agents' listings available through one central site, called Realtor.com.

Other websites are free to gather listings as they choose, as is evidenced by Yahoo! Real Estate.

And, for the dimwit who responded prior to me, I have been a real estate broker for ten years, and I hold a master's degree in business. Well over half of our agents (we have several hundred) hold college or other advanced degrees.
