Can I return an item an item at Wal-Mart if I did not buy it there?

If the item was purchased at walmart then you should be able to return it to any other walmart store as long as you have the receipt.

From a Walmart Employee: The people who are telling you No are stupid and uniformed. Yes, all barcodes are the same, and yes you can return the cd. You can exchange the item, or they will issue a store card. Without a receipt, you just can't get cash back for the item or have them put it back on your credit card. You will need your drivers license without a receipt though. If it is an item that walmart carries, online or in store you can return it.

Yes, if it is in their system. Just go in and tell them you don't have the receipt. They will do an item inquiry and if the upcs match, you can return. You will most likely just get a store credit. You won't get cash back. They don't put different upcs based on the store--so, even if you didn't buy it there, you can still return it. You can tell them it was given to you, so you don't know for sure if it was bought there. It happens all the time. I work customer service at Walmart.

No you can't. They will scan the barcode and it will not register in their system, even if they carry an identical product. The UPC's will just be different. They will take some returns for store credit but don't embarass yourself by attempting to return something you didn't get there.

Im not sure. If you do, since you dont have a receipt, they will just give you a store credit. I would call them and tell them you dont have a receipt for something you would like to return before you go there!

Nope sorry.They can scan the item and tell when it was sold or even if it was sold there at all. I would guess the best they could do for you, is issue you store credit.

you can return at least several stuff without recepe even if you got it from best buy or some where else. if i wasnt a nice kid i would get free money like that lol

As long as it is not damaged. if it is an item that they carry on stock then yes....but when they scan it and nothing comes up they will tell you....I have done this many times.....

Afraid not, you have to have a sale receipt and it won't scan as one of there items. its called defrauding a business.

if they sell the same item I would think so but you will not get cash.
