Yes, I'm positive it's lead, it's actually a bullet for a pellet gun.

Note: I take very good care of it. If you really wanna know how it got a lead pellet, I was letting it explore, and my stupid little bro had dumped a bunch of pellets on the floor and didn't clean them up, and before I could even react my beardy had already ran over and slurped one up.

Lead Poisoning is only half the issue here, What is the other half is this ....... Depending on the size of your beardie.... will the pellet be able to pass through his system.... If he/she is full grown this can still be an issue....

I would seriously recommend calling or visiting a vet clinic that is capable of handling and caring for these lil guys.

Binding in the digestive track of beardies is a major concern with out a pellet being involved...

Be careful and get him/her treatment.

I would agree with wcanpeace4270 I have two full grown Beardies and I'm still careful with what kinds of bedding I use because a beardies digestive system isn't like ours. It can get clogged so to speak and the beardie can die. I think the lead poisoning is the least of your concern. Don't start freaking out yet though. Take him to the vet (our herp vet charges $35 for a general exam) and depending on the size of your beardie and the size of the pellet you might not have a problem at all. It might just pass, as everyone else puts it :-) It's better to be safe than sorry though. Good luck.

Don't worry, it will just go through. You could swallow the pellet and not worry. Swallowing a piece of lead as opposed to lead compounds like lead oxide used as paint pigment poses little risk.

It is actually lead? If it is, I'd take him to a vet....do vets see bearded dragons? Regardless, lead is bad for humans and I'm assuming it's not great for bearded dragons either. Definitely at least call your vet and ask. We wouldn't want your little dragon to die of lead poisoning. Good luck.

It'll be just fine.
You'll get your lead pellet back in a day or two and everything will be back to normal.
Be sure to wash your hands after you retrieve your pellet.
