Why do you hide behind a euphemism?

I thought you were all about the truth?

Why do you avoid the truth?

Right to choose...what...exactly?

Is any choice valid...and an absolute right?

You espouse to be a "free thinker." Does that mean that you will answer the question about choice, any choice, being an absolute right...with intelligence...or with evasiveness?

Is a fetus a part of a woman's body...or a unique human being?

Why do you run from answering these questions?

Not all conservatives value prohibition. I deplore any form of prohibition because it does nothing address the cause of the problem. Prohibition also doesn't prevent the offensive act or substance, but only creates an atmosphere for dangerous black-markets to develop.

Negative reinforcement works in limited selective situations, but never as long term policy.

This being said I also deplore abortion as it avoids the natural consequences of risky behavior. Abortion should be reduced through education and viable positive alternatives (ie adoption).

Why do Liberals so value prohibition in regards to the Second Amendment? Is it the right of others to tell law-abiding citizens that they are not responsible enough to defend themselves properly?

That their lives are not worth enough to afford them the use of the single most effective tool known in self-defense. A tool that puts an 80 year old woman on a level playing field with a 25 year old, 200 pound man.

I am pro-choice because I don't see how abortions can be policed and adjudicated by the state.

The whole debate is about the origin of life. If life begins at conception, as conservatives believe, then they make a compelling argument. They claim that fetuses develop brainwaves and fingerprints early in the pregnancy. They also move independently.

They don't see themselves as "forcing" women to give birth. They see themselves as allowing a defenseless life to be brought into the world. They think that women, unwilling to deal with the consequences of their actions, are capriciously disposing of a life as casually as they would throw a tissue in the garbage can.

I am still pro-choice, as I said, mainly because I think the conservative position is unenforceable or would be prohibitively expensive to enforce. Nevertheless, I think both sides score great points in the debate and deserve to be treated seriously.

Lets talk about the RIGHT TO CHOOSE. I am a conservitive, and I feel that if a man and a women(it still takes a man and a women to make a baby dont it?) with thier doctor have a right to abort a pregnancy that may produce a deformed or severly disabled child. They should be able to make that descion to try again. BUT.....What you liberals call choice. It makes it all right for little Sally to go out and bang all and anybody she wants, because she can just abort it. Thats not called CHOICE. Thats called a reward for irresponsible behavior. Then again I dont expect you to know what that is....

i do no longer desire to even evaluate Christians being comparable to us by any skill. ok, I only threw up in my mouth a sprint. Rashi taught Torah to his daughters to boot. no person ever pronounced it wasn't allowed, the Torah in straight forward terms pronounced which you're obligated to show your sons (and handed over the point out of daughters). i'm sorry, I only haven't any theory the place this question is going, I propose now rely how conservative or observant Jews are, that has no longer something to do w/ Christianity in any way by any skill.

Then don't create them in the first place.
Who are you to tell the baby it needs to die because the mother doesn't want it?

Actually, my views are quite different from that, but your argument is silly. Either you truly don't have any idea why they argue for what they do (unfortunate for you), or you do and deliberately skew and hide what you don't want anyone to understand (unethical).

Both sides have very good points. When you only present one this way, and make the other side "a villain", you just look silly to thinking people.

If it was a story they'd call it a tall tale, exaggerating things to make your point. Don't do it, please. Reasoned arguments are so much more...sane.

Wow. I see YOU have safely arrived out of the womb, so it's safe for YOU to decide who shall live and who shall die before given a chance, huh? The time to make a decision of whether or not to conceive comes BEFORE the event. That is why were born with DECISION MAKING CAPABILITIES!!! Some of us USE that ability, and others choose NOT to. Why should a child suffer for the irresponsible behavior of the "parents"? I just don't get it. Never will.

If they didn't want the baby, why did they take actions that lead to having a baby?

We are telling them what to do with their lives, just telling abortionists that they cannot intrude into the womb and rip that baby into shreds, or burn it with a saline solution, or puncture its cranium and suck its brains out.

Hey, ladies, if you don't want to get pregnant, then not having intercourse is probably the best way. That's the adult, mature and responsible decision point.

No, it's the right for the child to live. We don't have the right to kill an innocent person. It's that simple. You can't get over the tiny little fact that when a woman is pregnant, she is carrying a living human being down there.

We support the right to choose. The right to choose where our children are educated. The right to choose what to do with the money we earn. The right to choose how best to protect ourselves & our families. We do NOT support the right to murder.
