Hi,
For this question, I would pick "easy" numbers to work with including 0, 1 and 2. So, just basically plug these numbers into the equation you were given, 2x - y = 8.
2(0) - y = 8
0 - y = 8
-y = 8
y = - 8
So, when x = 0, y = - 8
2(1) - y = 8
2 - y = 8
-y = 6
y = - 6
So when x = 1, y = - 6.
2(2) - y = 8
4 - y = 8
- y = 4
y = - 4
So when x = 2, y = - 4
I hope that helps you out! Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Andrew
