I can't say exactly, because I would be sure to eat some of them, but lets have a think.

A smartie is around 1cm long and wide, and half a cm in height. So how many of these to fill a cubic meter? 100 * 100 * 50

Wembley stadium is around 150m long, 100 meters wide, and 50 meters high.

So multiplying these up, it is:

100 * 100 * 50 * 150 * 100 * 50

= 375,000,000,000

Three hundred and seventy five billion.

Depends if you count the coperates seating plans or not, allowing the real fans to go and watch thier beloved teams.

Seriously, a lot and if you did, wembley would fall to pieces due to the massive weight of the all the smarties in the world.

then again, getting rid of the new wembley wouldnt be a bad idea at least the real fans would be able to go and watch their said teams at cardiff again

Despite Labsci's crack! >:-|

The simple answer would be to divide the volume of stadium by volume of a smartie (assumed to be the confectionary).

I would use a submersion method of 1 000 smarties to ESTIMATE the volume of 1 smartie (just thought try it with 100 so-called smarties of your own choice [i.e. the above] :-) ).

BUT this would only be the number of smarties ONCE MELTED, a factor needs to be applied for "packing density", typical is 73% for spheres - the gaps between contain 27% of the space.

Without looking up reasonable ESTIMATES this is a valid method.

I'd wait for it to be full of Man U and Liverpool fans, and then fill it, it would then require less Smarties, while simultaneously raising the collective IQ of the rest of England, creating even more "Smarties".

Hopefully 11 smart Brazilians will empty it tomorrow night. Seriously it depends if the smarties support soccer or rugby league

With the seats up or down?

When do you want them delivered?
I've just checked with the production planning department and she said they won't be able to supply until next thursday but there may be a delay to keep in line with normal wembley time scales
