I have BT Broadband with a home hub and free local and national calls at evenings and weekends.....It works well and they own the phone lines so they can't blame anyone else if something goes wrong.. I pay about £8 per month

Can you get covad? If so, I recommend them. Thing is, it most definitely depends upon what's available in your small locale. I suspect, and you should watch for, some other answer here, with a url giving you access to a searcher. It will lead you to the one or more provider(s) in your niche. If there's only one, then, good or bad, you may have to tolerate them...

broadband in internet service would be get cable something like your local cable comepnay.I have Mediacom its great but you know how cable prices go up every year.Do not go with AT&T.I had then when they were Bellsouth and I had their phone service.I did not have long distance service so here's the catch :they will bget money out of you no matter what.My phone bill went up $150, then $200.I would call them every month aasking why and how in the world my phone bill was this much and they couldn't tell me they would say this or that but I would hang up on them and pay the bill but I finally got rid of them when my bill at the end was $788.00.Why?I never had long distance. The only thing I had with them was local (ONLY)phone service with them and internet. My phone bill was on a great $56.00 a month level until I got their DSL internet service.I was on here a couple of months ago when someone said their bill was so high with Bellsouth and they only had phone service(no long distance because he made long distance from his cell phone) and DSL and his bill was out rages so he got rid of them and switced to Verizon.

Have you tried looking on http://www.moneysupermarket.com/broadband/? I know AOL give away free routers when you sign up, wireless too (although you canuse it normally). Shouldn't need anything else really.

I have AT&T's Yahoo, which I like. The price is going to be different, since I'm in the USA. But, I do like the AT&T's Yahoo it's really fast and pretty good too.
