Yes my brothers and I used to make treasure maps up and hide things where the X was. It was a game we used to play all the time.

When I was about 23 a friend and I tried using an old map to find a gold mining claim. After trying for 2 days we gave up.

Yes, actually a couple of my friends and I tried to find the Singer treasure on South Padre Island, Texas. No one has ever found it. I thing the sea may have taken it away

I was making treasure maps when I was a kid. :))
It was fun, hiding stuff and then leting the others follow the map.
