I received a Roomba as a gift when they first came out - it works SORT of well if you have an EMPTY room. Otherwise, it hits furniture and turns around to go another way, simply making circles and missing so many spots. I would NEVER pay for one, and I don't use the one I got as a gift. A regular vacuum is MUCH better.

I agree and I think they are very cool, but I wouldn't spend the money for one unless I had the money just laying around. I think that the Scooba wouldn't hold very much. Even cooler are the lawn mowers that they have that find their way back to their recharging station.

I think just from what I've seen, they are useless. Sure they manually go around a room and hit a corner and go back, but can you imagine how many spots they would miss? Think about it. What are the odds that they would cover every single inch of a room in an adequate time? Just my opinion. I wouldn'y buy one for $20.00! :)

If your talking about the robot vacuum cleaners-forget it. In my country(New Zealand), they came in about 2 years ago. They were over a thousand dolllarsNZ. They are now down to $300. They are just too small to cope with anything too big.You can't beat the old Vacuum. And of course your own hard labour. Good Luck!

I don't own them, but I know several people who do, and they swear by them. I'm saving for them now.
