2 points.

the lines are paralell 12 units apart the only points that equidistant from these two lines are on a line parallel to lines n and m that runs between them at a distance of 6 units which would be right between them. Lets call that line d

Now all points that lie with in the distance on 8 units from point A are on a circle with A being it's center and a radius of 8 units. This circle would intersect line d in 2 places since it's radius is greater than the halfway point between lines m and n.

draw it out on paper it'll really help to visualize :)

All the points equidistant from m and n
would be along a third parallel line
running right down the middle between the two lines,
like a dotted line in the middle of a highway

if A is a person standing anywhere on one side of the highway,
Then draw an 8 unit circle all around A.
Those are all the points that are 8 units away.

This circle will hit the dotted line between m and n
at two points, one toward the left of A and one toward the right

Can you draw this picture?

Eh... neither... yet i assume i'm going to flow with English. I used to love English extra yet severe college made it uninteresting. -_- yet I nonetheless love writing as a interest (and hate math, even however i'm no longer undesirable at it) so i'm going to easily say English.
