First try to make up of your files then try to make restore System of your PC.
Go to Start > Accessories > System tools > System Restore
Try to restore your computer to an earlier date.
If this didn’t work and the PC is still much infected try to make a format.

Formatting and reinstalling seems a bit extreme. How about updating your virus protection first and ridding the machine of the viruses first.
How do you know that your backed up important files won't reinfect your computer the next time you use them?
Get adequate protection and remove the problem...
If you insist on restoring... you could restore your computer to the way it was a few weeks or months ago using System Restore:
START> All Programs> Accessories> System tools> System Restore

Your computer probably came with discs or instructions to create backup discs- unless it was a mac. If it was a Windows computer or a Linux computer, put in the original installation or backup disc and use that to reinstall completely.

yep, gonna reformat and reinstall your OS, but no ones mentioned that when you bring you files back onto the system after you've cleaned it, you better scan the files with an anti virus program first, otherwise, you'd have done all of that for nothing....

insert your operating system (probably Windows) CD into your CD-ROM drive and follow the prompts to re-install.
when it asks you regarding formatting, remove the existing partition and create a new one with NTFS covering 100% of the remaining hard drive space. (i know that doesn't make much sense now, but believe me it'll make sense during installation and will work)

If you want it as you bought it, format your hard drive and reinstall your operating system.
