It isn't about sides. But having said that, they make it very difficult to sympathise with them. Their behaviour has been atrocious from the start.
I may have felt genuine sympathy for their loss had they not acted as if they had lost a pair of old gloves instead of a child.
It doesn't bear thinking about what might have or is happening to her. I just hope she is found soon.
My sympathies lie with the twins. They must be missing their sibling & need the attention of their parents. This is not a time to put the remaining kids into a creche all day.

Well, I hope the little girl is found alive and well, however with all things like this, the longer time goes on the less chance of that happening.
What I find weird is the publicity - great to do it in foreign country where she vanished, but what about the girls picture under the big screen in my gym? I dont think she is going to be on sky sports news in the near future. Or on the motorway bridge I passed under the other day. I think they are targetting the wrong people. What if the girl wasnt snatched by a british person? And she isnt in England. What if it was a spaniard, or a german, or a austrian, libyian.... who is putting up the posters there? (chances are not anywhere where she would need to fly to and probably not here)

I haven't voiced must in this but as a ex-employee of MarkWarner Company, i can tell you this,
Childminding services consist of checking on the kids when there asleep once every 20minutes or so. even better if u provide them with a baby monitor that will be every hour or so, It is not an actual sitting service. The McCanns knew this was pointless. So she'd be gone anyway.
The security is poor, and once local boys in Italy set off the fire alarm at 3am from the TOP floor. Another thing there is no vetting procedures in any staff, and i originally thought this was a an Ian Huntley type Handyman.
A very few have any child care Qualifications or even proper relevant experience.
So instead of MW company being brought to its knee's, business is booming. And all you lot can do is b***h about McCanns
How ******* sad.

In all other cases of child abduction, the publicity actually seems to be focused on the child and not the parents. Clearly the parents were in the wrong for leaving the child alone but there wouldn't be the level of hostility towards them if they didn't court the media in such an odd way.
I really don't believe that the level of publicity will make any difference in finding the girl and has probably had a negative effect, if any at all. The efforts should have been focused on the search for Maddie but the parents and the press have turned this into a voyeuristic circus.

I support the effort made at keeping the girls name alive and out there but that is as far as my support goes. I support and pray for Madeleine but will not feel ill towards the fact that had she been taken care of responsibly none of this would be happening. I think some of the photos being showed now should be private and have no relation to finding her like the pope visit and reading a story to the twins or saying goodbye to the twins when leaving. I think the twins need mummy 24/7 and should not be taken care of by the hotel daycare. I would be to scared for my kids to leave them.

In a word NO. This they have proved from day one and have made a complete 'mockery' out of the 'disappearance' of an innocent child! They have lied and contradicted themselves to the point of total embarrassment, as is evident in the 'latest' picture... They are 'seriously' deluded and utterly contemptible....

People are on their side because of Madelaine because everyone wants her found alive as quickly as possible, the pope visit was to highlight her picture around the world so she wont b forgotten to keep her in the media and the twins were left with their grandparents and other family members who are out there, I feel under the circumstances they are doing a great job at keeping attention on their daughter, the guilt they are feeling the sorrow and heartbreak and the immense pressure must b beyond belief for one I SUPPORT them one million and one percent and feel they are getting the same worldwide except for this site where I am bamboozled at all the attacks they seem to b getting all any one can focus on is the fact that they left her YES it happened with terrible results NOW can we please focus on what that child is going through and support the McCanns on their quest to get her back by whatever means it takes once the reports about them on TV cease then it will b yesterdays news and we,ll b back to joy riders and breakins the norm,so let them keep in the media untill shes found and give your support because you cant read the future and these critics may just need some support themselves one day. GOD BLESS MADELAINE AND HER FAMILY

the reason we're all as enraged is because it goes against all our moral understanding as a civilisation that to leave children unattended for ANY length of time is wrong. this is why we have laws in our country protecting children and why ordinarily it would be classed as neglect and child abuse.
not sure how many people remember the outrage when a woman went on holiday without telling her kids to visit the boyfriend she had met not 2 weeks before, leaving her 15yr old daughter in charge of her 8yr old.
and what happened? she was extradited back here and took straight to court! ok longer time period and some will say more severe but is it? at 15 the eldest daughter knew how to cook clean and had her family not far from where she lived!
there is a beautiful little girl out there, an innocent in all this who has now been missing almost long enough to be deemed as irretrievable. who's parents are now living almost as well as a-class celebs.
that is why the majority of us are angry and unsympathetic with them

Ha ! it depends at what time of day you are on here. We are inundated at times with people saying they made a "mistake"
The Pope should not have got himself invelved with people who have comitted such an awful act of child neglect. I dont think they dont love the kids I think in material ways, they give alot, but a nanny is not the same as mummy.
I did put my kids in nursery though, cos i think nursery is good education and a place to meet friends. Just didnt want a nanny. ... Who am I kidding I couldnt afford a nanny anyway.

Nope I am no on their side. They have not shown a shred of decency since this whole incident emerged...
If they had admitted that they had neglected their children from the onset then I would not have been as furious as I am now...But their subsequent actions further indicate that they believe they should be discharged from any responsibilty for their actions... I wonder if Kate McCann would have defended the actions of a single mother whose child was going to be removed by Social Services for undertaking a similar negligent Act.. I kind of think not.... they have made a complete mockery of the law....
