Business desktops usually have integrated video only. There could be a graphics expansion slot but the power supply that comes w/ the unit are usually incapable of handling the better performing video cards.

Vista on 1Gb RAM and shared w/ integrated graphics would be slow. It need more RAM.

If the dual core processor is Pentium D, it is "HOT" but not exciting. AMD x2 is better but Core2 Duo is best.

dual core processer
A good choice, may be CORE 2 DUO or whatever

windows vista buisness edition
How about VISTA ULTIMATE EDITION. Business edition sucks, it doesnt have much features compared to other editions. It has the least features of all other editions.(I used it, believe me)

160 ghz
is it 160GB harddisk, if so, its good.

dvd/cd burner combo
hmmmm, try out that DVD burner itself, why go for combo, when one usually thinks after buying COMBO, that he might had bought the DVD BURNER ITSELF, that can do all the stuffs.

thats all i can say.

and one more thing if you are going for VISTA you need to have graphics card with minimum 256 video memory. Or if your dad is buying GPU means, inbuilt graphics in mother baord, then its cool. and you need to have 1gb of ram , MICROSOFT says 512 enough, but 1gb is just enough.

make sure it has a Core 2 Duo processor and at least 1gb or ram. Also make sure it has a dedicated graphics card if u want to play games on it. Get Vista Premium instead of business. The business edition is only 4 computer on a network that need to connect to a domain controller (Server).
