I cant decide between majoring in educational psychology and going up to masters degree or going for english teacher education. I love english and psychology. I know I want to work in a school. To be a school psychologist do I need a PH.D?

I would choose English for your undergraduate degree,
psychology for a graduate degree, and maybe a specialized
field of psychology for a doctorate. A related business or law degree will also help.

To be a counselor you would need a special degree or license.
To be a psychologist, I would suggest a PhD so you can develop your own practice. While you are working on an advanced degree, some institutions will either offset costs for employees pursuing additional education or help you to get grants.

major in education and get your masters in ed. psyc. you will have the classroom experience and know how to interact with the students and if you get tired of one field, you can go back to the other!
p.s. you only need a Ph.D. to prescribe meds in psychology:o)

School psychologists usually have an MA in psychology. School districts can't afford to pay for PhD.
