In your 20's, you worry about what everyone thinks about you.
In your 40's, you don't care what anyone thinks about you, and
in your 60's, you realize no one was ever thinking about you in the first place.
So, in my teens, YES, I felt like I had to be skinny and dress a certain way to be cool.
But, being the klutzy kid I was, I endured all the bumps, bruises, and bad decisions of my teens and twenties years... and here in my late -but still MID-40's, I'm lucky (or avoiding something important) if I get to watch tv... and then, I only watch for brain candy effect)... I don't give a flying fart what commercials and tv culture says I should look or act like.
Thrift stores are my Walmart... Used bookstores are my Barnes and Noble... and, ok, I confess, I go to the actual grocery store for food...
So, no. My subconscious mind is protected by my alligator thick skin and cheap tastes.

I don't watch tv anymore.
It really is retarded.
Besides, who needs to be a witness to someone elses imagination when you have your own.
The only thing tv's good for is sports.
