because he's playing politics.

All insurance is out of hand - I pay more in car insurance than I do in health insurance by a long shot - and I've never really used either.

He's probing gas because everyone pays for gas, and everyone sees gas prices. A lot of people's health insurance comes through their companies, so it doesn't get as much exposure.

because he makes money from insurance companies....and a useless probe into gas prices would continue to divert attention that fact. gas prices are high because china and india have increased their consumption over 100% in the last 6 years. it will only increase and until the world realizes that oil is not a finite commodity, rather a naturally produced result of the earth's mechanics, the oil companies will continue to put folks over a barrel so to speak....

Yeah, strange how no concern for the public on health insurance and the gov pay farmers not to plant....and that has nothing to do with being a socialist country or not...all this politacal humbug is just more B.S we have to listen too...

I don't care which but both need checking out. Nothing goes up as fast as gas has in the last month. They are charging us for gas they have not received yet. I call it robbing without a pistol. Everything has gone up with gas, bread, milk, veg's,meat, eggs everything. You don't need health care everyday but gas well, most people have to work everyday.

He is just trying to drum up interest in his candidacy. Mr. Edwards got all of his money from suing hospitals and doctors. I am sure he wants them to have enough income to pay their liability insurance premiums.

If you'd like the government to pay for your healthcare, move to sweeden. Please enjoy the 70% income taxes. However, since this isn't a socialist country, the government shouldn't be involved. John Edwards is trying to help corporations, which will in turn help you, by providing you with products and/or a job. Plus, many American's employers pay their health insurance for them.
