I would have.

We all taste it. We are all tempted to believe that knowing someone else's idea of "good and evil" is what will bring us power over reality. We are innocent children when it happens - our brains are processing data for survival - and we are easily manipulated. Few of us stay connected to that original innocent state of being. To return to the garden or heaven, we must overcome our layers of shame (based on believing in our original unforgiveable error). Eternal aliveness is the result.

I suspect that you are missing the point.

Look... any parent worth the name is going to know a lot about their kids. When my son was younger, he used sneak extra juice boxes that I normally sent with his school lunches and pretend that he wasn't doing it. So I joked with him that we must have a 'juice-mouse' who was sneaking away the juice and drinking it.

At first it was a rather one-sided jest... he was just relieved not to be taking the blame. But as the years wore on, he came to a much greater understanding: I knew all along that he was doing it, he wasn't and hadn't gotten away with anything, and the only reason he succeeded in the first place was because I had permitted it.

Perhaps this is the real lesson of 'The Apple' (if there is one).

It wasn't an apple. It is only portrayed that way in artwork. It was actually the "fruit of the tree of knowledge". And yes, I would have probably taken a bite.

I think most people would.

Think about it.

Here you are, stuck in this beautiful garden. The only object of mystery is this forbidden fruit.

Eventually, curiosity is going to get the best of you.

And then it's time for apple pie.

The apple was taken from the tree of Knowledge if you think about it God did not want us to taste it to much knowledge can make you crazy and the devil loves that.................

If I was told not to eat that apple I would obey God..............I listened to my parents and did not do sneaky little tricks on the side like many of my friends and family cousins..........

Its like anything in life if someone tells you its bad or warns you not to do something even if it looks so great to you on the outside it can cause you harm DON'T do it simplify your life.

A trust issue. and we all suffer from that. look at all the chances we take in our life because we lost our first trust, I would love to wake up to the reality of this life we have lived was only a test and to be still there in that garden with God. I'm glad he gave some angels to watch over us.

I think eventually, everyone would have.
I would even go so far as to speculate that if Adam and Eve did not, perhaps one of their descendants would, in effect creating two tribes of humans, if you will.

Among philosophical/rhetorical questions of a biblical nature, this one is my favorite.

Apple a day keeps the doctors away.... ;-)

It would have been tough not to. Probably not though. If Eve was hot then I would have been staring at her naked all day and I wouldn't have thought about food one bit.
