Yeah, I'm part Australian, and went there last year! There trees are mostly gum tress, the Great Barrier Rief is off the coast and it is the largest reef in the world (good for scuba diving) and the Blue Mountains are a huge tourist attraction, especially "The Three Sisters." Their second language is Japanese and students learn it in school. High school starts in grade seven. The Opera House and bridge is in Sydney, which has a population of 6 million (the capital) Another large city is Melbourne, by the South Coast. Cricket is a huge sport and plays on TV often. Kangaroos are everywhere, and you usually see roadkill on the side of the road :( They usually come out around dusk when the sun is just going down. You can see so many stars there, and they're so bright, it's the best place in the world to view them because you can see so many and there isn't a big halo effect. The plane ride there was 22 hours but the ride back was only seventeen because of the wind currents :) Surfing is also pretty big, as is boogyboarding. There is a lot of bluebottles, which are jellyfish-like stinging things. It's pretty beautiful :) Hope I helped!
